Logo design, Essex and Suffolk
Logos that look like you mean it.
Original logos for new and growing businesses, from a two-person design studio in Manningtree. No templates, no AI shortcuts and no endless rounds. Just a mark you'll be proud to put on the van.
A new logo
For a new business, or one that never had a proper logo. We start with what makes you different and design a mark around it.
A logo refresh
Keep the bits people recognise and fix the rest. Cleaner lines, better colours and versions that work everywhere.
Every file you need
Full colour, one colour, stacked, long, icon-only and social versions, ready for print, web, signage and embroidery.
Room to grow
When you're ready, we can build the logo into a full brand: colours, type, templates, vans and a website to match.
Why Mammoth
A good logo does a lot of quiet work. It makes a new business look established, it makes a van memorable at a set of traffic lights, and it gives people something to recognise when they see you again. A bad one does the opposite, however good your work is.
We’re Stew and Chris, two designers who met on the graphic design degree at the University of Essex and started Mammoth in 2020. You talk to the two of us from the first message to the final files. No account managers, no juniors and nothing lost in a handover.
Logos with an idea behind them
The best logos aren’t just a nice font and an icon. They have a reason. For Locus Planning, a planning consultancy, we drew a tall block, an arch and a house in one fine line, so the mark reads as both an L and a skyline. For All Leaders, an executive search firm, the three Ls in the name became three upright bars standing side by side, like a line-up of leaders.
Closer to home, we’ve designed logos for Hoskyn’s, a Maldon pie maker with over 150 years of history, Coffee at the Close in Chelmsford, Pyramid SD, a scaffold design consultancy, and Prime Interior Services, a commercial fit-out firm.
Made to work everywhere
A logo has to work at the size of a postage stamp on a phone screen, embroidered on a polo shirt and three feet wide on the side of a van. We test it at every size before we hand it over, and you get every version you need, so you never have to ask a printer to “make it fit”.
How it works
- Tell us about your business. A quick WhatsApp or a short message is fine.
- Get a fixed price and a timeline before anything starts.
- See a few clear routes, with the thinking behind each one.
- Refine your favourite together until it’s right.
- Get every file in every format, ready to use.
Need more than a logo? See our branding page, browse all our work or send us a message.
Got one in mind? Tell us what you need and we'll come back within a working day with a fixed price.

Good questions
How much does a logo cost?
Every logo gets a fixed price before we start, so there are no surprises. It depends on whether you need a logo on its own or a logo plus colours, type and a simple guide. Tell us your budget and we'll be honest about what it can get you. We're flexible about how you pay, too.
How long does it take?
Most logo projects take a few weeks from the first chat to final files. If you've got a launch, a van being wrapped or a shop opening, tell us the date and we'll plan around it.
Can I just have a logo, not a whole brand?
Yes. Plenty of people come to us for a logo and nothing else. We'll make sure it works on its own, and if you want to build on it later, it's ready to grow.
Do I own the logo?
Yes, completely. Once it's paid for, the logo and all its files are yours to use however you like.
Do you use AI or templates?
No. Every logo is designed from scratch by the two of us. We use AI to speed up some dull tasks, but a logo needs judgement about your business that a tool can't give you.
I'm a tradesperson. Can you help?
Yes. Our sister studio, The Trade Marks, has fixed packages for trades, including a logo, van livery design and a website.
