Why Mammoth
Not every project is a rebrand. Sometimes you need a pitch deck by the end of the month, an impact report your board will be proud of, or a brochure that finally matches the quality of what you do. That’s our bread and butter.
We’re Mammoth, a two-person studio in Manningtree, right between Colchester and Ipswich. Chris spent years designing national and international magazines before we started the studio, and Stew was lead designer at the largest further education provider in North Essex, so we know our way around a deadline. Documents that do the persuading
Good document design isn’t decoration. It’s what makes people keep reading. We designed the investor deck that helped MoveMed raise millions, the annual impact report for B Corp Society, and a series of white papers for Unibloom, a climate platform founded by people from Unilever, Ben & Jerry’s and Bloomberg. We’ve written about why white space matters too.
Print people love to pick up
From the warm prospectus for Little Spring Wonders, a Chelmsford nursery, to menus and signage for Coffee at the Close, we design print that feels as good in the hand as it looks on screen.
Motion and social
Chris leads our motion and animation work, from animated logos to social content and editing your own footage. If it moves on this website, Chris made it move.

Good questions
Can you work from our existing brand?
Yes. A lot of our design work is for businesses with an established brand. We'll follow your guidelines and, if there aren't any, we'll help you tidy things up as we go.
How quickly can you turn around a pitch deck or document?
It depends on the length and how ready the content is, but many decks and documents take one to three weeks. If you have a hard deadline, tell us early and we'll plan around it.
Do you handle printing?
We prepare everything properly for print and can recommend and liaise with trusted printers, so you don't have to worry about bleed, colour or paper stock.
Can we meet in person?
Yes. We're in Manningtree, close to Colchester and Ipswich, and happy to meet local clients. We also work with plenty of clients remotely across the UK and Europe.
Can you help with ongoing design work?
Yes. Several clients use us as their design team on a regular basis, for social, campaigns, documents and more, without the cost of hiring.
